Article Marketing - What Will it Give You?

If you take a trip through the many Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) forums on the internet, you'll see countless people discussing article marketing, all trying to figure out whether it's a good or a bad thing to do and whether it's worth the effort.

To be able to figure out whether article marketing is right for you, you first need to understand what you will get from it. Article marketing, properly executed, will bring you three things: traffic, backlinks and a reputation.

Many webmasters make the mistake of believing that submitting articles to ezine websites or article directories for reprint will result in instant traffic. This is not true. Article marketing can take time to have a sustainable impact on your traffic. This is because the traffic will not come predominantly from the article directory site that you submitted the article to. It's far more likely that the traffic will come from the many other websites that have picked up your article either via syndication, RSS or simply through reprinting it with your author links. This takes time.

Given that your levels of traffic and the number of backlinks out there to your site are inextricably linked, the real benefit of article marketing is not in the direct traffic it generates but in the backlinks created to your website via the author links. Although you can't really control the quality of sites that reprint your article in this way, there is still no substitute for quantity. You can then work separately on ensuring a decent number of high quality links are also established. This boost in the number of general backlinks to your site will reflect well in the search engine result pages (SERPs), possibly moving you higher up the results and improving your pagerank in the long term. There is still some debate in the SEO forums over the importance of backlinks and pagerank in search engine positioning, but it is generally accepted that having large numbers of quality backlinks and a resulting high pagerank is desirable.

One of the keys to successful article marketing is to ensure you always write on a subject that you have a sound knowledge of. A high quality article will be picked up and reproduced much more quickly than one thrown together or poorly written. Take time to think about your subject matter, how popular it might be, what keywords people will use to find it and what angle you want to take on the subject.

Don't get caught in the 'quantity over quality' trap. Yes, you will need to be able to write lots of articles to get significant benefits, but they will also need to be high quality articles. Don't sacrifice quality - you'll benefit in the long term. This is how you build your reputation as a specialist in your subject area. With hard work, quality articles and a little time, your article marketing strategy can establish you as a specialist in your field that others will seek out for more information. The only way is up.

Productive Article Marketing - Latest 6 Comprehensive Methods to Grow Your Article Marketing

Article marketing is undoubtedly the most sought-after marketing tool in the internet today. Marketers simply love it because aside from the fact that it delivers great results it's also for free.

Here are the latest 6 comprehensive methods to grow your article marketing:

1. Write to inform and not to impress. People read articles because they would like to be equipped with valuable information that they will find useful and valuable to their lives. They would like the articles to be written in such a way that they would be easily understood. So, forget your love for big words and avoid presenting your information in an encyclopedia format.

2. Take advantage of major publishing sites. To give your articles the exposure they need, register to all leading article submission sites in the internet today. Check their page ranking and the kind of traffic they attract as these are two elements that can help you advance your article marketing strategies. Don't waste your time on publishing sites that have few members or newly constructed.

3. Never leave any stone unturned. By this, I mean strive to give your readers complete information so they would better understand your topic. You can do this through thorough research and brainstorming.

4. Don't advertise on your articles. Focus on giving your readers the information that they need. This is the surest way to convince them to check on your resource box.

5. Use striking resource box. To effectively convince your readers to check on your website, you need to make sure that your resource box is compelling and attention-grabbing. Communicate what you can offer or provide incentives to every person who checks on your website.

6. Keep your articles short. Avoid beating around the bush and present your information upfront.

Aggressive Article Marketing Strategies That Will Rake In The Big Bucks

Article marketing is one of the very best ways that you can market your business. The main advantage over many other advertising methods is that the leads convert up to 10 times better than other sources and it is also free.

In this article I would like to go over the basics that you need to do to succeed. Article marketing is very time intensive and if you do not spend time writing for a few hours a day then I suggest that you use another method of promoting your website.

Here is the formula that I use to achieve success promoting my business using this method. This works for me and there is a good chance that it will work for you to.

The most important part is to have a killer title that grabs attention. I have extensively tested this. Articles with boring titles seldom create much of an impact for good results. The other important factor that you need to consider is choosing your keywords correctly and including it in the title. If you do not do this you will get traffic from the directory that you submit to, but not from search engines where people are searching for information.

The next important part is to help your reader. You need to share information first that will help them. If you give first you are more likely to receive. If you share a slice of your expertise there is a much greater chance that your reader will join your newsletter and become a paid customer.

Finally, make sure that you have your unique selling proposition in your resource box. This will be your 30 second elevator pitch that will make your reader want to click through to your website.

Targeted Article Marketing - 4 Explosive Secrets Towards Effective Article Marketing

Article marketing no matter how old and classic it may seem to be remains to be an effective and well-trusted instrument by many businessmen and marketing specialists. The dependability and reliability that it possesses makes it still well-loved and trusted. For this reason, article marketing continues to evolve and rejuvenate. Below are some of the explosive secrets of effective article marketing:

1. Know your targeted market and focus with them. The articles that you are going to market will be most effectively written when you know as the writer for whom the article is going to be. By knowing who your potential market is going to be you can immediately think about what is best to be written for them.

2. Prepare the article with the intention to inform and educate your potential market first and then market and advertise successively. By driving these forces to be your core reasons why you are creating these articles, you can make sure that you will be very effective in attaining your core objective - that is to market and advertise.

3. Allow for your articles to be relayed and conveyed. Now that the article has been made, make sure that these are properly published, exposed, and able to generate notice from your potential market. You can have these articles published on some of the leading article directories and sites or you can have these published on your own site. What is important here is that you are able to get the message properly relayed.

4. Monitor and track the progress of your article marketing strategy. This is just like any other marketing schemes should be properly tracked and monitored. By determining the progress rate of your mechanism, you can take appropriate actions whenever necessary. This will help you combat any possible loopholes on your plan and thereby preventing massive failure on your plan.

Article Marketing - How You Can Massively Increase the Effectiveness of Your Articles

Article Marketing is something that thousands of people do to drive traffic to their websites. It's no secret that a well written article can be thought provoking enough for readers to want to know more about either you or your services. So, what do they do? They click on your link in your resource box. But are you making effective use of understanding the conversion rates for the clicks that you get?

From my own perspective, my main interests are in motivation, wealth creation and self defense. These are the subjects that I write about most often. However, I am departing from that here because I have discovered something that I think will be of benefit to all article writers.

I don't write about things like "the best sexual positions" or "cell phone number spying" or "how to increase your penis size" or "how to shave your pubic hair" or "how to tell if your spouse is cheating on you" or any other such subjects that get tens of thousands of hits. Why? Quite simply I don't have a website on any of those things that could take advantage of the traffic it would bring.

Now here is something that you will probably find interesting...

I have over 250 articles all over the web in hundreds of "far-flung" places and in many different languages. This number of articles will show significant trends when viewed in terms of statistical anaysis.

I know which articles are "ball-bursters" and which are complete flops. So, what does that tell me? Write more articles (in my domains of knowledge and interest) that are popular - obviously! What is the point of writing articles that nobody else wants to read? Now here comes the interesting bit...

By analyzing the results of these articles I am able to see which ones are giving me the most click-throughs to my websites. Time for a little mathematics...

If I have 1,395 click-throughs from 170,424 views of my articles then my conversion rate is 0.82%. That tells me that for every thousand people who read my articles only 8 will be interested enough to go to one of my websites. Pretty horrendous huh? Then again, there are millions of articles on the web and people's time is at a premium. A reader has to be REALLY interested to make that click.

So, if I have some articles - which I do - that are returning the following statistics, what does that tell me?

  • 8 from 23 ( conversion rate 34.8%)
  • 400 from 2,667 (15%)
  • 28 from 154 (18%)
  • 191 from 1736 (11%)
  • 23 from 81 (28%)
That tells me that these particular articles SMASH my average. Hmm. So, what else does that tell me? Here is what I think...

  1. - The headline REALLY worked because it attracted attention
  2. - The article summary/teaser REALLY worked because it made people curious
  3. - The copy (article body) REALLY worked because it contained good information
  4. - The resource box REALLY worked because people wanted to know more.

So, now, what do you think I should do?

  1. - Write more headlines like that
  2. - Write more summaries/teasers like that
  3. - Write more articles like that
  4. - Write more resource boxes like that

The other thing - which I have not yet analysed in depth - is that the keywords REALLY worked. I need to look at that more.

So what is my point is this?

Watch what your statistics are telling you. Once you get the "formula" correct then all it requires is for you to stick with it and you will see a LOT more click-throughs to your websites than you thought was possible. I may have more to say on this later. Stay tuned...

This has been a "Public Service Announcement" from me to you purely for your benefit because I don't have an Article Marketing website. But if you want to know how to make a lot more money and increase your personal wealth then click HERE

Article Marketing - How To Create High-Performance Articles That Get Read

If you have tried writing articles and just didn't get the results you expected, add some of these high-performance tips for better results.

The first step in writing a high-performance article is writing a headline that captures the readers attention. Use words in your title that create curiosity and interest. I often use an online thesaurus for generating word ideas.

The next step is to keep your article's content consistent with title of article. One mistake article writer's often make is writing content that doesn't match the article title. If title of the article is about dog training tips and you then spend the article discussing the joys of having a dog, there is a good chance you will lose your reader before they finish the article. A key point is to stay focused on the main subject for your article.

I know it may sound silly but make sure you provide useful information. Often times I will start reading an article and quickly find the article isn't telling me anything useful and go on to the next article. It's important you provide useful information to your reader so they will continue to read the article.

Keep sentences short and clearly written. Hard to understand sentences will lose readers quickly. If in doubt, be sure to edit the sentence so it is easier to read.

Write personally. Use a personal tone when writing your article. Let your reader get to see your personality whenever possible. Just don't over do it.

Determine the goal for your article. As an article writer, you need to determine your purpose for the article. Is the goal to start building a relationship with your reader? Is is to have the reader sign-up for a newsletter? Determining the article's goal will help you craft your message in the article so you get a better end result.

In closing, I hope you find these high-performance tips useful. Article Marketing can be a powerful marketing tool if used correctly.

How to Streamline Your Article Marketing Process

I write a lot of articles - so I have developed a system that works really well for me, and allows me to write and submit as many as 20 articles on some days (I average about 7.5 articles per day, but that is usually days of 20-30 and days of zero, but the average for the month is currently about 7.5 articles per working day).

Here's how I do it:

1) I determine how many articles I am going to write today. For example, if it is 10, then I write a list (in a word processor) of ten topics. Then I transform each of the topics into a title. Generally, I do both of those steps at the same time - I just write the topic as a title. That takes about 5 minutes. (By the way, I have a list of about 100 keywords that I have previously researched, plus I have about 25 different categories in ezinearticles that I write articles for, so if I hit a roadblock on topics, I just consult one of those lists; I do not like to spend time on this step).

2) Then I just start writing - one sitting - all ten articles. This is my process for writing each article:

a) I write an introductory sentence that tells the reader something basic about my topic. Then I write a sentence or two either outlining the problem that exists for which I am writing the article to solve, or I will write a sentence explaining why it is so important that I am writing about this topic.

b) I write a series of steps to solve the problem, very similar to this list. Sometimes I use 1,2,3 or a,b,c, and sometimes I use a paragraph for each step.

c) I summarize the steps, or the reason for doing the steps.

d) I consider this step to be one of the most important. I indicate that one of the things that really helps me with this problem is one of the things that I am going to write about in one of the downloads I offer at the end of the article. This provides a transition to my call to action in my bio.

3) I submit one article to the list of directories, then the next article. With the short list of directories, you should get to where it takes no longer than 60 seconds to upload each article.
